Samples From The Triple I Initiative Showcase

The Triple I Initiative just showed off their showcase stream consisting more than 30+ announcements in under an hour. There were so many games shown, it's hard to narrow down one being better than another. Going to look at some of what I thought stood out from the rest.

Be sure to check out the rest of the showcases or the live stream to enjoy all of the teasers in one go https://www.youtube.com/@iii_initiative/featured

Dinolords

When this teaser started, I had thought that this looked like a pretty good medieval city-building game. Didn't expect the dinosaur element. This tickled my absurd meter as you can battle human hordes, augmented with Dino units.

Dinolords is a realtime strategy game where you gather resources, build fortifications and command units in defence against the invading Danes with their arsenal of fierce dinosaurs. A shocking new age in medieval warfare.

Norland

I'm very interested in city builder-style games and Norland has a few elements that scratch that itch.

Norland is a medieval kingdom sim that generates stories. Manage your noble family as you face class conflict, crime, revolts, religious struggle, economic issues, personal relations, treachery, secret murders, and spectacular battles.

Endzone 2

Out of all of the teasers shown, Endzone 2 piqued my interest.

Endzone 2 is a post-apocalyptic survival colony builder, where you embark to secure humanity's survival after a cataclysmic disaster. Discover and repopulate the last habitable grounds, while the survival of your people hinges on your wits, foresight, and resilience in a harsh and unforgiving world.

RKGK

There wasn't much shown and felt like a cinematic but, the tone from the thumbnail and what I'm assuming to be a runner-like game, similar to the likes of Jet City Radio. Of course, I could be wrong here and this is the problem of an indie game studio releasing a nice cinematic trailer but, there's nothing else on what the game is or a peak into gameplay.

Turn heads. Drop jaws. Be bright. In this single-player 3D platformer, you’re the only one who can take down Mr. Buff and his lackies to restore color and life to the citizens of Cap City. Accompany Valah and the RKGK crew on their journey to take down the oppressive B Corp.

Broken Roads

Again, I'm a sucker for games like this I've been a fan of games like Mutant Year Zero and Shadowrun. Also, who doesn't want to live out their Mad Max fantasies in the Australian outback?

Broken Roads is a story-rich, party-based RPG set in a decaying, post-apocalyptic version of the vast Australian Outback, featuring a genre-redefining morality system. Survive, form bonds, and make tough choices that will shape your dangerous yet mesmerizing journey across the wilds.

These are just a small sampling of what was shown today and while many games were within the bullet hell genre, there were just as many others that stood out. It was great to see so many games all within an hour and I know that there are tons more of other games that weren't present during this little event. I'm looking forward to seeing those games and if you have a project you are working on or know of someone who is. Let me know within the comments or on within the thread on our forums.
